Dental implants are a long-lasting treatment option for the restoration of missing teeth. Implants includes a titanium component that is surgically mounted into the jaw bone. They can be prepared in a variation of shapes and sizes to serve the ranging needs and remaing bone structure of individuals. The aim is to mimic tooth roots and allow your natural bone to osseointegrate - meaning that bone will attach itself to the implant to fully support it. Once this is healed, we will design a Picasso Porcelain Crown to be placed on top of the implant to imitate the natural tooth.

Cost of Implants
Dental implant costs vary depending on the type of implant you will need, how many you're looking at, the extent of the surgery, the complexity of the case as well as the crown to finish. We would highly encourage you to book a consultation for a better understanding of the possible outcome and costs involved.
Cosmetic Consultations
A comprehensive cosmetic and reconstructive consultation with our clinicians include a thorough examination and smile analysis. During your appointment, we will run through your treatment objectives and review any concerns and your desired outcomes.
Consultations with Dr Dee and our clinicians are $220 pre-paid; however, this is redeemable towards any cosmetic treatment you choose to go ahead with. Please plan your time accordingly as the consultation appointment is approximately 60 minutes in duration.
Health Cover
Ask your health fund.
We accept all private health funds. While this procedure is usually covered, the coverage level varies depending on the plan. Upon consultation, an itemised break down will be provided to you, which can be used to check with your health fund.

The titanium metal is completely safe and is the same material used in bone surgery.
Each person reacts and heals differently after dental implant surgery. Depending on your personal threshold and discomfort, our patients commonly are able to return to work the day after the implant procedure. We will thoroughly discourse this prior to your appointment.
Dental implants are suitable for most people with missing teeth. How your body reacts to the implant is dependent on a multitude of factors:
Your existing bone tissue and its health
Existing periodontal disease
Non-smoking (or at least quit during treatment)
Health of existing gum and teeth
Oral hygiene
During the treatment process, you will receive local anaesthesia. There should be minimal pain and we will do our best to make you feel at ease. You may feel some slight discomfort when the anaesthesia wears off but we generally prescribe medication to alleviate the soreness. We will always follow up and stay in contact to ensure you on track with the treatment process and healing well.

Smile With Implants™ is suitable for those who have strong and healthy gums and adequate bone tissue. As with all implants, it is essentially important to be free from periodontal disease, be a non-smoker and have good oral hygiene. A strong base is needed to support the implants.
